East Maui Taro Festival, April 29

with 2 Comments

The 25th Annual East Maui Taro Festival will be held in Hana on April 29, and as usual Kipahulu Ohana will be anchoring the ag tent with a booth selling poi, laulau, ulu and other goodies, along with t-shirts and hats, and sharing information about our Malama I Ke Kai projects. Please stop by our booth and check us out!

For anyone interested in helping out in the preparation for the festival, we’ll be working at the Kipahulu Kitchen on Thursday and Friday, cleaning and grinding poi and wrapping laulau. It’s a great way to learn about these cultural foods and enjoy the talk-story as we ho’olaulima kakou.

Aloha I miss being part of the action at the Taro Fest. Eileen Comeaux here I like to have just a table to talk about the Bike path in Hana. The Hana Ranch is donating land pushing back the fence line so, we can make a bike/walking/running path from the skate park to Makaale. Would it be possible to get a table maybe under the information tent? Who would I talk to about this. Mahalo Eileen
