Mahalo nui to everyone who helped make the Kīpahulu Makahiki a meaningful and memorable celebration. From the preparation of the community ‘imu and potluck to the traditional Makahiki games, music, cultural demonstrations, and shared fellowship, the day reflected the strength of our community and our commitment to preserving Hawaiian traditions.

Congratulations to all of the participants, competitors, volunteers, cultural practitioners, musicians, and especially the winners of this year's Makahiki games. Your sportsmanship, and aloha brought the event to life and honored the values of peace, and healthy competition that define the Makahiki season.

A heartfelt mahalo to every ʻohana who attended, contributed food to our pot luck, shared their time, and supported this community gathering. Your presence continues to strengthen our connection to one another and to the cultural traditions.

We are already looking forward to welcoming everyone back for another Kīpahulu Makahiki as we gather to honor the rising of Makaliʻi (the Pleiades)—the celestial marker that signals the beginning of our Makahiki season.
